THE SON OF MAN WILL BE DELIVERED UP TO BE CRUCIFIED
Clearly, the Lord Jesus Christ to preach to the multitude,
Many hearts had become dull, so He taught in similitudes.
He taught them to be concerned about the perils of life,
Without faith in God, there will be continual pain and strife.
Continually, the Lord Jesus showed devotion to God’s Will,
He knew His path would lead to death, but His heart was still.
He knew that soon He would be delivered to die a cruel death,
But He was prepared to die, He would be true to His last breath.
Clearly, He spoke to His disciples whom He loved with all His heart,
They need not be frightened, from them, He would never depart.
His love for them had been clearly shown; there should be peace,
The challenge is to hold fast to faith, and heart turmoil would cease.
Continually, the Lord Jesus taught His disciples how to overcome fear,
It is through faith, that one would always find courage and cheer.
Facing betrayal and crucifixion bravely is no small feat at all,
But where the heart remains focused, one may truly walk tall!
