THE HAND OF THE LORD HAS DONE THIS
The needs of the poor are obvious and painful;
A source of fresh water would make one grateful.
But where would one find water in the wilderness?
How would one discover water that is precious?
The LORD gave a word to the poor but faithful;
The Holy One of Israel would do all that is needful.
He knows their deepest needs and desires;
He would do all that anyone could require.
He would not forsake the poor and faithful;
His supply of precious water would be bountiful.
Rivers in desolate heights would be given;
The LORD would reveal His hand from heaven.
The faithful must take the time to consider;
There are many thoughts over which to ponder.
The mighty hand of the LORD would never fail;
Against all the odds of life, He will prevail.
