A GREAT AND GLORIOUS RESPONSIBILITY
A FATHER’S DAY POEM
Great joy and privilege are given to a father;
These are blessings that are like no other.
To love one’s children is a blessing indeed;
Being a father reminds us of what we need!
Fathers need the Lord’s grace and mercy each day;
Thus, the heart seeks the Lord much along the way.
There are many challenges that we cannot foresee;
Being a father is a great and glorious responsibility.
There will be times when we fear we might fail;
There must be faith in God that we will prevail.
The Lord’s Word must be read most carefully;
The heart must seek the Lord’s wisdom deeply.
It is heartening to know that God is Father too;
He watches over all with a love that is true.
His example as a Father brings inspiration;
May all fathers be blessed with jubilation!
