READY TO BE BOUND, READY TO DIE
Good and solid friends are difficult to find;
They won’t desert you when you are in a bind.
How wonderful to be blessed with true friends;
These are special gifts from God’s loving hands.
Friends are those who sincerely care;
They will uphold you in ceaseless prayer.
They will warn when there is danger;
They will weep, for they are not strangers!
Paul’s example of serving faithfully was clear to all;
He had indeed heard the Lord’s divine call.
He was not afraid to be bound and sent to jail;
His faith in the Lord would help him to prevail.
Paul was willing even to die for the Lord’s name;
Concerning his faith in Jesus, he was not ashamed!
What a wonderful example of faith the apostle Paul had;
To live for Jesus and to die for Him made his heart glad!
