FOR THIS PURPOSE
The Lord Jesus was given a divine Mission;
He was to preach the Kingdom of heaven.
Many souls were lost in darkness and sin;
The Gospel had the power of full cleansing.
There were many who were tormented;
By illnesses and demons they were tortured.
The Power of God lay behind the Gospel;
The Kingdom of God was for all people!
The work of preaching was exhausting;
The Lord Jesus knew He needed empowering.
He would seek God His Father in prayer;
He knew that the Father truly cares!
He drew much strength and encouragement;
He preached mightily the Kingdom of heaven.
Many souls were touched and came to salvation;
The Lord Jesus remained true to His divine Mission!
