NEW WINE
The Gospel of the Kingdom was glorious;
The heart of the believer would be joyous.
Sadly, the Gospel of the Kingdom was queried;
The message of the Gospel was misread indeed!
There were many who failed to understand;
The Gospel news they failed to comprehend.
The old way was the only knowledge they had;
But the religion they practised did not make them glad.
The Gospel of the Kingdom should not have been set aside;
The Bridegroom was the Lord and the church was the bride.
The analogy of Marriage is associated with happiness;
Receiving the Gospel of the Lord is wonderfully joyous.
The Gospel of the Lord Jesus was compared to a new cloth;
But to many, His Gospel was heard with great wrath.
The Gospel was also compared to brilliant new wine;
The old wineskin sadly, cannot accept the Gospel sublime!
