Senior Sunday School 3 was created for the ladies who work as domestic helpers. They come mainly from Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines.
Senior Sunday School 3 has four main goals
- Present the Gospel to the students
- Teach them to love God’s Word
- Teach them life’s practical lessons
- Help them find their personal purpose in life
The weekly Bible lessons are taken from the Gospels. The students learn about the life of Jesus and His ministry to people who are in need of God’s love and salvation.

Finding Jesus Real in My Life
When I came to Bethany, I learned from the Bible that the One whom we should worship is the Lord Jesus Christ. In 1 Timothy 2:5, the Bible says, “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.” Christ became man so that He could take the sins of the whole world. We are to worship the One and only true God, Maker of Heaven and earth. I was so glad that I finally found the Lord Jesus real. He has always answered many of my prayers. Praise God!

Comfort and Assurance from God's Word
When I came to Singapore to work, I was overwhelmed with struggles and I felt unsure as to how I would survive it here. I am easily depressed and full of worries. But God’s Word learnt from my Sunday School teacher gives me the comfort and assurance that the LORD indeed is my Light, my Salvation and Strength. The Lord Jesus is my Wonderful Lord and Saviour. One of Bible verses, Psalm 27:1, has helped me a lot. “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Learning Life Lessons from the Bible
My one and only employer was the one who brought me to Bethany. It is in Bethany that I first learned to read and study the Bible. I have never read or studied the Bible in my previous Church before. I don’t remember learning anything there. I didn’t know that I can learn so many lessons of life from the Bible. It is only in Sunday School class at Bethany that my eyes and heart are opened to Jesus.
From Sunday School lessons, I learnt that Jesus can be my Saviour . He is the One who died for my many sins. He is the One whom I should worship. In the earlier years, I did not understand what the teachers were teaching as my English was not good. However, the Lord is good, slowly I am now able to read and understand English and it is something the Lord has blessed me with. Now I am able to read my Bible every day.
